I found a catering job offering minimum wage in
Los Angeles, which was great, because I had some money but I was working a lot and neglected my studies... Then one of my friends told me that she works as a hostess girl in a night club and that it pays really well. Actually, when I think about it, I met this friend of mine at my favorite
night club, always talking to different guys, dancing and drinking expensive champagne.
Anyway, I was afraid at first, but as soon as I got there and they explained my duties, everything started to feel natural and I loved every minute of being a hostess.
I can say that my
work as a hostess has a lot of perks, I love to meet new people, to build connections and let's not forget the champagne. For a lot of the guys, it's just a game. They want to test hostesses boundaries, to see what they're willing to do,
What are your duties as a hostess?
In order to understand my
hostess job, everyone needs to understand that there are different kinds of hostess clubs. There the ones where you do karaoke and things like that, and there the ones that are regular clubs with a dance floor and lots of couches everywhere. Our duties as hostesses are to hang out with the guys, but nothing else - we just hang out with them as long as they want us to.
The way it works is, all the hostess girls are sitting on the couches and when a client enters the club, he will come over to us and ask us to dance and the hostesses go and tell the boss to clock them in. Some clients are not interested in dancing, so we have a separate room where we can talk to our clients.
I've danced with some guys for 10 minutes and other for 4 hours. This club's rate is 44$ / hour to dance with a hostess. Long story short, I make around 4.500 $ a month with tips. I work 3 days a week / 6 hour shift.
